What is Kelp?
Kelps are Large seaweeds that grow in the ocean. Sugar Kelp is the type of kelp we work with Here at Kelpy. It grows in underwater forests, commonly known as Kelp Forests.
What makes it healthy?
Kelp is the next super food - watch out kale! Loaded with trace minerals, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, kelp can add value to any diet. Kelp is also a natural source of iodine which is vital to a healthy thyroid.
How Does Kelp Help the Environment?
Kelp and other seaweeds, are natural filters for our oceans. Runoff from Agriculture on land causes oxygen depletion in our waters. This has devastating affects on the plant and animal life that live there. By farming kelp we can increase the amount of kelp in the ocean and increase the water's quality.
